The Candy model is also equipped with a self-diagnostic device and, if an error occurs, sends information to the owner on the display.
Each error is coded, and knowing the code's meaning, you can quickly resolve the problem or contact a service center for help.
Candy Washing Machine Error Codes
For cars with a display
E01 – a problem with the washing machine door lock. The cause may be wiring, a faulty door lock, or a malfunctioning electronic controller.

E02 – The error indicates there's not enough water in the tank, or, conversely, too much water than necessary to run the program. This could be caused by either a clogged hose or a broken inlet valve. The E02 error in a Candy washing machine could indicate a faulty water sensor or its hose, or the controller could be broken.

When a Candy washing machine displays the E03 error code, you should first check the drainage system, as it can also cause a breakdown, along with clogged pipes and filters.
E04 – a signal indicating a high water level in the tank. A problem with the inlet valve may be present. The signal appears on the display after three minutes without correcting the problem. The cause is a faulty inlet valve, which prevents water from filling after the signal. A faulty controller also indicates this.

You will need a multimeter to help determine the resistance.
The operating value should be 20 ohms at room temperature. When the E05 error occurs, the Candy washing machine prompts you to check the motor and voltage and resistance. Both the indicator and control units should be in normal working order.
E07 – Engine error. The machine tries to start the electric motor three times and then displays error code 07. The cause is a faulty tachogenerator, most likely its core has failed, or may have completely collapsed.

How to recognize an error?
If a display is not provided, information is conveyed by flashing indicators. The error can be identified by the number of flashes. There will be a 5-second pause between each series of flashes.
Your task is to count how many flashes there are in a series.
It's a handy feature, no doubt about it. It's useful not only for the machine owner but also for the mechanic.
Error codes
- 0 – incorrect operation of the control module.
- 1 There's a problem with the washing machine door lock. The contacts or wires may have come loose.
- 2 – water does not pour, or it pours, but not quickly enough.
- You should check whether the faucet is open and the water pressure is correct. The problem could be caused by the inlet valve or the water level sensor.
- 3 – After the program finished, the water didn't drain. The drain pump is responsible for this, so the problem should be looked for there. It's worth checking its contacts and the filter and hoses.
4 – There's a large amount of water in the tank. The level sensor or wiring may be faulty, or the fill valve may be stuck.
- 5 – short circuit or break in the temperature sensor.
- 6 – problems with the EEPROM memory. The control unit is responsible for it.
- 7 – an error in the engine operation, most likely jammed.
- 8 – problems with the tachogenerator.
- 9 – engine thyristor malfunction.
- 12, 13 – data transmission between modules is interrupted, which is possible if the connection is broken.
14 – control unit failure.
- 15 – program crash.
- 16 – heating element failure.
- 17 – incorrect data from the tachogenerator.
- 18 – failure of the control unit and problems with the electrical network.
Error codes for Hoover and ZEROMATT models have the same meaning as Candy washing machine errors, because this equipment is controlled by the Cuore board.
How can you be sure your washing machine has the aforementioned board? It's simple. If the model name includes CO, COS, GOF (Fuzzy), Candy GO, or SMART (Fuzzy), then it's controlled by Cuore.
Diagnostics
To diagnose the machine you need to:
Set the switch to OFF, while the drum should be empty.
- Find the first button on the left for an additional function, press and hold to move the switch to the second position, which is usually the temperature indicator at 60 degrees.
- Wait 5 seconds, all indicators should light up and only then release the additional functions button and press “Start”.
If this doesn't work, repeat these steps with another additional function button.
What happens during diagnostics?
- The machine draws 6 liters of water through the powder and prewash compartment.
- Pauses and starts the heating element.
- Gathering water.
- The drum starts working.
- Pause again (4 sec).
- Simultaneous water intake and drum operation.
- Checking the pump with full water drainage.
- The spin cycle is turned on.
Diagnostics are complete. Once completed, all indicators should light up.
Tips for all cars
There are errors common to all machines. While they may seem trivial at first glance, problems often arise due to carelessness.
The washing machine does not turn on.You need to check if the machine is plugged into the outlet and make sure there is electricity throughout the house.
- A lot of foamCheck that you haven't accidentally added hand washing powder.
- No water enters the drumIt's worth checking if the delayed start is enabled.
- There is no water drainage or spinning After the program has completed. The following modes may be selected: no spin, no drain, or easy iron.
- The indicators are flashing erraticallyYou need to reset the washing machine by turning it off for 2 minutes.
- Large vibration during machine operationIs the appliance positioned correctly? The drum may be overloaded.
After reviewing the information, you should remember that washing machine error codes do not fix the problem, but rather suggest where to look for it.
