For example, a table for the dacha made from a washing machine drum. And it doesn't require any special skills; everything can be done in ordinary conditions and with your own hands. Moreover, there are quite a few design options for making such a table, to suit everyone's tastes. Let's look at a few.
Option one. A small table on three legs.
In the first example, the drum appears to be “hanging” on three legs, covered with a tabletop on top.
So, what you will need for work.
The drum itself from the washing machine, which you previously cleaned to a shine.

– Wooden blocks for legs.
– Primer, paints, brushes, tape measure, pencil.
– Sandpaper or grinding machine, drill.
- Metal bolts.
So, step one:
Determine the required height of the finished product and the dimensions of the tabletop, measure all the necessary dimensions.
Step two:
We cut out a round tabletop. It can be cut out of a large piece of plywood, for example, or from several boards joined together to form a panel, but then it will be necessary to additionally secure the boards with screws or a wooden scrap.
Step three:
We prepare legs of the required height from wooden beams.
Step four:
Now all the wooden parts need to be well sanded and primed to avoid splinters and to ensure the table is smooth and level.
Step four:
We connect the entire structure. We drill holes in the beams, two on each, insert bolts into each of them, and attach the drum to them, with holes drilled in it at the same level. Nuts are tightened onto the bolts. We attach the countertop to the tops of the beams using screws; you can even use wood glue.
The most fun step
Well, now paint the wooden parts in the colors you like and you can even apply designs.
Quite simple, isn't it?
Option two. A small coffee table with lamps inside.
There is another design option, which would be like a small coffee table; lamps are attached inside the drum, so that the cabinet simply glows from within.
So, the materials.

– Two low-voltage floodlights and a distribution box
– Three wheels for the table, 50 mm each.
– Board or plywood for the table top.
– Jigsaw, pencil, tape measure, sanding machine.
– 6 mm bolts with 4 square nuts
Step one:
We cut a round hole in the lower part of the drum with a jigsaw and sand it with a machine.
Caution: Please remember to follow safety precautions when working with tools.
Step two:
We cut a circle from the tabletop the same diameter as the drum. We drill holes and attach it to the drum with bolts.
Step three:
We install the spotlights inside the drum using bolts and tighten them with nuts. We run the wires from the spotlights to the junction box, which will allow us to create a single cable for both lamps.
Step four:
We add wheels to the bottom of the drum using nuts.
Ready!
Option three. A small pedestal stool
The next option can even be used, for example, as a chair for a child in certain situations. It would certainly come in handy at the dacha.
You will need:
– Board or plywood for the table top.
– Wooden blocks for legs
– jigsaw, drill, glue, sander and reversible screwdrivers.
– 14 self-tapping screws.
Step one:
We're preparing four legs for a small table. They need to be sanded to prevent splinters.
Step two:
At the bottom of the drum we drill holes for attaching the sheath. You can attach the legs to boards folded crosswise, which are then attached to the drum using self-tapping screws.
Step three:
Cut a round tabletop to the same diameter as the drum and drill a hole through it to the top. Sand the top to remove any sharp edges so it can be sat on.
The product is ready.
Other options
You can create a ton of interesting DIY projects from an old washing machine drum. You can take existing ideas and improve them. For example, you could cut a hole in the side of the drum and attach handles to create a makeshift table. There are countless options; use your imagination.
