- Features of work.
If the freezer is located on top, the cold distribution principle in such a unit is similar to that of single-chamber models. They have a single evaporator, and the freon first enters the freezer compartment, where it warms slightly, and then flows into the main compartment. Double-chamber models (with the freezer located at the bottom) have two evaporators and one or two compressors. This allows you to set the desired temperature in each compartment.
- Capacity.
"Top" freezers have a small capacity, allowing for short-term storage of small amounts of food. Lower-level freezers have at least three pull-out drawers, which can also accommodate winter preserves (vegetables, berries, etc.).
- Convenience.
When the freezer compartment is at eye level, you don't have to bend over to retrieve meat or fish. Pull-out drawers are convenient because you can easily retrieve the desired bag from a far corner without emptying it. Furthermore, in a confined space, it's difficult to organize food items according to their proximity.
- Care.
Large containers are more difficult to clean and dry, but if you choose a refrigerator with a frost-free interior, you don't have to worry about this. These models require less maintenance, so cleaning them once or twice a year is sufficient.
- Energy efficiency.
Compact freezer units are more energy efficient than larger models, but if the latter are labeled "Energy Star," energy savings can be up to 30% compared to standard models.
- Functional capabilities.
Bottom-mounted freezers offer more functionality. They can be equipped with soft-freeze compartments, rear LED lighting, and smart technologies, but this comes at a price.
- Who is it suitable for?
Smaller refrigerators are preferred by singles, small families who don't stockpile food, and chefs who prefer fresh meat, vegetables, and other items. Units with a full-size (large) freezer compartment are more suitable for avid farmers or gardeners who want to preserve their own produce, or for families who prepare food for the winter.
Indesit appliances are easy to repair, but attempting to do it yourself is not recommended. Many sensors are located behind the front panels, and disassembling them can damage adjacent components. If a capillary tube is clogged or a refrigerant leak occurs, soldering and professional equipment are required to bleed the system and inject new refrigerant. Our technicians will quickly and reliably repair the problem and replace any damaged parts.
