Regular washing machines (standard washing machines of normal size) come to us with dimensions of 85x60x60, where the first thing in these parameters is height.
By this, consumers mean depth, not width, as many might think. The demand for small-sized units does not surprise us.
If you've ever measured a doorway in an apartment, you'll know that the width of the opening is 60 centimeters, making it impossible to fit a structure with a width and depth of 60 cm through it (in some cases, the door had to be removed from its hinges).
Compact automatic washing machines are no problem for housewives. Let's talk about the little ones.
What car is considered compact today?
Small-sized ones are those that can be comfortably placed in a house.
The transportation of the structure also plays a role. We won't discuss infrasound devices, so we'll leave them behind the scenes. Automatic washing machines are divided into two types: top-loading and front-loading. Let's start with that.

- Height;
- Depth.
The first parameter makes it clear that this machine can be installed under the sink, and the second parameter makes it clear that it will fit in any convenient place.
Normal washing machines up to 85 cm high cannot be installed under a sink, as it would then be too high, which would be very inconvenient, especially for children.

Knees bumping into the door of a small washing machine is a common problem, but this can be solved by moving the sink forward. This will create space for a small cabinet where you can store toothbrushes and other household items. A mirror on the door would look great, and everyone would feel comfortable.
Installation
Most people may have a question: “How to do the installation?”

Buy a faucet adapter, and you can run another pipe from the riser. Experience has shown that many people use both methods. The issue of water leakage is a completely separate topic, which we'll discuss next time.

- Under standard-sized washing machines there are models with a depth of 55 cm to 60 cm;
- From 45 cm to standard machines, there are narrow small-sized ones;
- The rest of the cars below are super narrow.
It's important to note that the above parameters are often violated by household appliance sellers, meaning it's best to pay attention to the depth specifications (in some cases, you'll have to look for the specifications on websites).
Installation of super-narrow washing machines is no different from that of standard washing machines. We can only add that the first models of this type could hold 3 to 3.5 kg of laundry, but today there are compact models with wide openings that increase capacity.
Top-loading washing machines can't be installed under a sink, but a corner is a good place to place them. A compact unit can be placed next to the sink, as the vertical hatch (opening from the top) and the control panel next to it make for convenient use. The width of such a vertical design is typically up to 40 cm.
Small-sized models under the sink
Washing machines with a reduced height are designed to fit under the sink. Candy produces most of these models.

This option is best suited for synthetics and cotton. When the water is first dispensed, the machine will determine the load based on several parameters. The user is required to do nothing other than indicate the type of items and their soiling level.
Before us is a compact automatic washing machine, which is quite small in size, based on this, the design uses energy consumption class "A+".
In addition to the provided height (70 cm), parameters such as width (to 51 cm) and depth (to 46 cm) were reduced.
This is the most convenient, narrow, compact machine that can wash up to 4 kg of laundry in one wash.
A little earlier, we discussed super-narrow class equipment, but the topic was about the height and width of compact units. The washing class is "A," and the spinning class is "C." However, experts assure that you shouldn't pay attention to the spinning time.

The Candy washing machine supports the reload function, which leaves us stumped as to how it's possible to pause the washing process and add another load of dirty laundry.
Perhaps the solution lies in the startup cycle. Candy has integrated three-stage leak protection into its design and added a delayed start timer.
The latter option won't save you any energy at night, but it does allow you to start the wash at 5:30 PM, which will allow you to wake up during the spin cycle. Don't expect any trouble from your neighbors.
The maximum drum rotation speed reaches up to 1100 rpm, which even exceeds the permissible norm.

Exceptions include linen, terry robes, and towels. If you have children in your family, this won't be a problem either, as the compact washing machine is equipped with a child safety lock; if the button is accidentally pressed, the control panel is blocked. This machine isn't exactly cheap, starting at 17,000 rubles, which is still a bit steep for its capabilities.
In terms of cost, this unit isn't the best option, but we'll test it out in practice. The machine has a full-load sensor, which means everyone in the house can throw some of their dirty laundry in. The wash cycle starts when the drum is full; to do so, simply close the door and press the start button. Even a child could handle it.
How much detergent does the machine require?
Don't worry about that. Just fill it up with laundry detergent beforehand, and the compact dishwasher will take the necessary amount.
The same applies to water, it won’t take anything extra, gram for gram.
Starting the machine
To start a network-connected machine, follow these steps:
Close the door until it clicks; if you don’t hear a click, you haven’t closed the door and the machine won’t turn on;
- Opening the supply tap;
- Select a program;
- Start button.
Setting the timer is a bit more difficult, but there are adults in the house and they can handle it or supervise it.
Result
Reduced size, a variety of smart options – this is what you need to choose a comfortable unit for yourself.
We haven't mentioned activator-powered machines yet, as they are already top-loading. These machines include automatic machines, which are quite popular in South America and nearby countries. The advantage of these activator-powered machines is that they allow you to reuse the water several times, which is significantly more efficient and cost-effective. The same applies to detergent.
Prices for small automatic washing machines start from 7,500 thousand rubles (simple design without additions), for example, such as Beko WKN 61011 M, energy efficiency class "A+", and the same performance as Candy. It holds up to 6 kg of laundry. This machine can't be installed under the sink—it simply won't fit there—but it's quite possible to get clean, dry laundry.

There's not a word to be said here, but I will say that Hotpoint also has compact washing machines, one of which we have and washes everything properly.
