Which washing machine is best? Many people have different opinions on this matter.
Some people prefer the design of top-loading washing machines, while others prefer the space saving features.
We study the characteristics of top-loading machines
How do you know which option is best for saving space?

Before purchasing, we recommend familiarizing yourself with all the information about these types of devices so you can choose the best model that will provide you with years of enjoyment! We'll help you with that.
Pros and cons of buying vertical machines
Besides the fact that such machines are compact, they have a number of other advantages.
Advantages

One of the main and pleasant bonuses is that you can stop the machine mid-cycle and add more laundry to the existing load, without having to drain the water. However, it's still best to ensure all items are loaded in one go. Top-loading machines can wash up to 6.5 kg of laundry at a time.
Those who have been using these machines for a long time claim that they are much more economical than front-loading units, as they lack additional components such as a door cover and rubber seal. Because of this, upright units require far fewer repairs and are much less expensive than front-loading units.
Flaws

Perhaps the biggest drawback for the middle class is the price: they are much more expensive, which is not affordable for everyone.
Some models also have rather awkwardly positioned detergent and conditioner containers. Furthermore, the drum size in standard models isn't particularly large.
Due to the small drum size, you will not be able to wash winter blankets or large soft toys in the machine.
Washing programs and modes

Every year, manufacturers release new and improved models with additional options, but you should be aware that you may not need all of them.
Often, the set of essential programs is no different from that of front-end devices. It includes:
- Cotton and linen wash cycle;
- Quick wash mode;
- Mode for synthetic items;
- Hand wash (delicate cycle);
- Drum not fully loaded;
- Deferred strat.
Everyone should be aware of which features are simply not useful when using a washing machine. Many people believe these are simply marketing gimmicks from manufacturers that offer no practical value.
Useless washing machine functions

For this reason, the boiling function is not necessary, unless you have small children in the house and their clothes will need to be boiled repeatedly to remove stains and disinfect. However, the downside is that it will use up electricity too quickly.
We also don't recommend buying top-loading washing machines with a maximum spin speed, as they will be more expensive and offer little benefit.
The problem is that drum parts for machines with this type of load will be much more expensive. In fact, when spinning at high power, you'll end up with items that wear out more (and this is during the wash!), and parts that will be very expensive if they break.
In general, it's worth noting that the number of washing programs in top-loading machines is significantly smaller than in front-loading machines. This statistic applies to budget-friendly options.
Individual characteristics
In addition to the location of the door, top-loading washing machines have a number of other features that distinguish this type of machine from front-loading units.
Before making a final decision and purchasing a machine, the buyer should calculate the space they are willing to sacrifice for the machine in the bathroom. The dimensions of such devices allow them to be installed even in small spaces, but not in the kitchen.
The external characteristics of top-loading machines are far from perfect: due to the way they are loaded, they cannot be installed under a cabinet or countertop.
Nowadays, even more sophisticated washing machines are readily available in appliance stores. The main, and perhaps distinctive, feature of these machines is the placement of the bearings, which are located on the sides rather than the back. Some argue that two bearing assemblies are much more reliable and durable for washing.
Types of management
When choosing a washing machine in a store, it's worth asking the sales assistant about the control type of the model you're interested in, as they all have their pros and cons. They're typically divided into three categories:
MechanicalHere, you need to manually adjust the parameters using the switches that control the temperature, wash program, and spin speed.
- ElectronicIt operates using an electronic control panel. One of its main advantages is that you can select a washing mode or program, and the machine will do everything for you, without forgetting to adjust the water temperature.
- CombinedThis is an electromechanical type, which has both switches and an electronic panel.
Control panels in these machines are typically located behind the lid or in front of the hatch. They're not particularly large, but that doesn't mean the machine lacks useful washing programs (in fact, it's usually the other way around).

I'm more of a HotPoint fan, and my friend has their vertical one, and she really praised it, so I didn't think twice and bought myself one, it's really cool!
Alisa, I also don't see the point in overthinking and digging into every company when there's something already familiar, like Hotpoint.
Tatyana, you've got it right. For our own reasons, we're also in favor of the Indesit, although we've seen a couple of interesting models from Hotpoint.
I would get Indesit, they are one of the best on the large appliance market. And again, their price is reasonable.
Hotpoint has really good washing machines, both top-loading and front-loading. I have a top-loading machine, 40 cm wide. It's compact and holds up to 7 kg of laundry. So, it's very convenient.
“Studying Brands” – 4 brands)) We studied them)) They could at least add Indesit, something people are familiar with and will most likely buy because it’s a popular brand for a reason
I agree that Hotpoint's washing machines are affordable and generally reliable. We've been using their top-loading washing machine for two years now, and we're happy with everything. And what's written here about the spin cycle is correct: there's no point in buying a washing machine with a powerful spin cycle; 800 RPM is plenty for me.
Vera, two years isn't a long time. I used a Zanusi for 17 years, always waiting for it to break. I finally got it. They soldered something and it works again, but we're looking for a new one. I'm really fed up with it.
